"Sunday's vote by the House of Representatives was a travesty of policy, politics and process. The liberal troika of Obama, Reid, and Pelosi has once again conspired to trample the will of Americans and strong armed Congress to pass healthcare legislation the public simply does not want.

We are witnessing an epic tragedy as our debt and deficit continues to grow. However, it was during my 22-years of active duty service where my skills were developed and refined in understanding fiscal responsibility.

There can be no doubt that today, as Lincoln articulated, there are those who understand Liberty to mean "each man doing as he pleases with himself and the product of his labor". However, there are those who believe Liberty to mean "for some men to do what they please with other men, and the product of their labor". These are two different and incompatible things, clearly one is Liberty and the other called Tyranny. After watching the healthcare summit this past Thursday, there can be no debate that we face a struggle in our country against the growth of big government and in support of liberty.
