Congressman Allen West Raises Nearly $2,000,000 in Third Quarter of 2011

Reelection campaign receives over 42,100 individual contributions

October 12, 2011 - (BOCA RATON, FL) Congressman Allen West announced today that West for Congress has raised $1,900,000 during the Third Quarter of 2011, made up of more than 42,100 individual contributions. The Third Quarter brings the total amount raised for the reelection campaign to over $4,100,000 to date.

"The people of the 22nd Congressional District of Florida along with Americans from across the United States have heard our message and support a strong constitutional conservative in the House of Representatives," said Congressman West, "Our country will always face challenges, but with principled, pragmatic, passionate and patriotic leadership, we will always emerge stronger as a nation and as a people."

During the Third Quarter, the average contribution to the West for Congress campaign was approximately $47 per donation, with 99.9% of contributions coming from individual donors.

The continuing grassroots support for the campaign in this quarter again confirms Congressman West's message is breaking through, and more and more people support what he has to say.  Americans are tired of double-speak from the White House and Democrat leaders in Congress, and supporters find Congressman West's approach refreshing at a time when America needs a straight talker.
