Allen West for Congress Endorsements

McFatter Technical High School Stefano Perez

I would like to express my thanks for coming to our McFatter SGA to inspire, motivate, and educate us! You left all of us captivated and a lot more educated on government, politics, and opportunity in this great nation. Wow! Equal Opportunity vs. Equal Achievement? Socialism vs. Democracy? I learned so much from your presentation. All of the SGA members in attendance at your presentation are spreading the word around the school of how bad socialism is. Mr. Jauch, my Geometry teacher, also enjoyed the presentation. The entire school is soon getting to know the name of Allen West. Students do not usually go around excited, sharing their story from the Regular Monday SGA Meeting to their teachers, but your presentation turned it all around.

Your presentation turned things from ordinary to extraordinary. I also thank you so much for the gift you gave me, the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. I promise that I will respect, protect, defend, honor, and follow the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. I can firmly say, you have easily gained many votes from the Juniors in attendance. Thank You for tieing in H.S. SGA importance and Education in almost every key topic you discussed.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)

Dear Allen B. West Campaign:

We are pleased to inform you that Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) has endorsed your campaign for 2008. Our endorsement has been placed on our website at www.alipac.us which receives over 5 million hits per month.

We are Americans of every race and ethnic background, including many LEGAL immigrants, who stand together for a nonviolent and non-racist solution to our illegal immigration crisis.

The over 25,000 supporters of our extensive network are now being encouraged to vote for you, persuade others to vote for you, and to offer assistance as volunteers and contributors.

As one of the leading grassroots organizations in America opposing Amnesty and illegal immigration, we are endorsing your campaign because we feel you will aggressively oppose any form of Amnesty or path to citizenship for illegal aliens in America.

We also feel that you will utilize the full authority of Congress to assure that the next President fully enforces our existing immigration laws. More than 80% of the voters want our existing laws enforced, as well as, our borders secured, employers fined who hire illegal aliens, taxpayer benefits removed for illegals, and local police empowered to enforce immigration laws.

A historic number of federal campaigns are stating their opposition to amnesty, and are supporting more immigration enforcement in 2008. Very few are promising a path to citizenship for illegal aliens because that plan is massively unpopular with the public. However, big Global business interests want Amnesty and we are counting on you to stop them.

If approximately 15 million illegal aliens are given a path to citizenship, the self-governance of America's legal citizens will be overthrown and a new voting block, which will oppose any future border security and immigration enforcement will be formed, thus leaving America politically defenseless against future waves of millions of illegal immigrants.

Over 80% of Americans currently feel our nation is on the wrong path and the core issues driving those historic numbers are the bad economy, the war, and rampant illegal immigration resulting from the non-enforcement and under enforcement of our existing immigration laws by the Executive Branch. It is clear that big business controls the Executive Branch more than the American public or the existing laws of Congress.

Our immigration system is not broken, it has been paralyzed by the influence of groups like the US Chamber of Commerce and the mega corporations that want cheap labor and economic growth via rapid population growth.

We are counting on you to stand with the American public on this issue. We are counting on you to make sure our Republic is restored and the voice of the American people returns as the guiding principle in the actions and policies of the Executive Branch.

Please do your best to make sure that every voter in your district knows you oppose Amnesty in any form for illegal aliens and that they can expect more immigration enforcement, if you are elected.

Illegal immigration is starting to reverse in America due to the bad economy and more immigration enforcement on the state level. We need your help to assure this trend expands and continues. We can reduce the number of illegal aliens in America peacefully and gradually by millions, if we simply ENFORCE OUR EXISTING IMMIGRATION LAWS.

Recent history tells us from examples set in Georgia, Arizona, O
klahoma, and Arizona, that most illegal aliens will leave on their own, once they know enforcement is taking place, thus the need for mass deportations are not needed. When Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and Franklin Delano Roosevelt engaged in mass deportations in the 1930's and 50's, many more illegal aliens left on their own accord.

If you are elected, large financial and political influences will immediately besiege you to stop the reversal of illegal immigration, override the states, and turn millions of illegal aliens into voters, thus
ending America as we know it. Such an action would rip this nation apart. Please stand up for the American people against these power groups.

Let's see America enforce our existing immigration laws for a few years before there is anymore talk of a Guest Worker, Temporary Worker Program, Comprehensive Immigration Reform, or a path to citizenship Amnesty!

Best of luck on election day and we will do all we can to promote your campaign to the 80% of Americans who agree with your pro-enforcement positions.

Sincerely,

William Gheen

West Palm Beach City Commissioner Kimberly Mitchell

I do not take giving my endorsement to an elected official or candidate for office lightly. With that said, I proudly write this letter on behalf of a great American running for the United States House of Representatives, Allen West.

As a daughter of the sixth man to walk on the moon, Dr. Edgar Mitchell, I have watched and learned a lot in life. From an early age, my parents indoctrinated my siblings and me to be involved in all aspects of life. As an investment banker for more than a decade, I have worked with and around some of the most brilliant people in the country. As a West Palm Beach City Commissioner for the past six years, I have had the privilege of working with some of the best talent in South Florida and some who did not make you or me proud.

So it is from these vantage points I share with you the reasons I know Allen West will make a significant difference in the United States Congress.

Honesty, integrity, dedication, a strong work ethic, and, yes, decency … these are the descriptive words that come to mind when I think of Allen. At a time in our history when there seems to be a vacuum of these qualities in our elected officials, we need to jump at the chance to elect those who share encompass these virtues.

With all the challenges facing our country today, we need more than just smart people in Washington, D.C. We need men and women with conviction and an ability to rise above politics and work for the best interests of us all. We get all three when we elect Allen West.

Please join me in working to elect Allen on November 4.

Kimberly Mitchell

West Palm Beach City Commissioner

NATIONAL VIETNAM & GULF WAR VETERANS COALITION

Dear Lt. Col. West:

I would like to take this opportunity to send you greetings on behalf of the National Vietnam & Gulf War Veterans Coalition and to express our appreciation for your willingness to support those who, like you, have answered our Nation's call to duty.  The Coalition is comprised of over 80 veterans' organizations and veterans' advocacy groups representing over 250,000 veterans and their family members totaling over 2,000,000 million voters nationwide.  The latest brochure, reflecting the Coalition's objectives and listing the Coalition's member organizations, and a copy of our ""Energy and National Security Fact Sheet" prepared by the Dr. Teddy Bitner, Col. USA (Ret), Chairman of the Coalition's Committee on Counter Terrorism, are enclosed for your reference.

The Coalition Board was recently polled and your positions on veterans' issues and on issues pertaining to the security of the United States and the safety of its citizens were evaluated.  The Board was very impressed.  Consequently the Board is proud to endorse your election to the United States House of Representatives.  We request your future support for legislation related not only to issues pertaining to the proper care, treatment, and recognition of members of our armed forces and veterans, but also to those issues which provide for the destruction of the terrorists, the security of our national borders, the prevention of illegal immigration, the production of efficient domestic energy and achievement of energy independence, and the recognition and elimination of human rights violations by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.  As a veteran of Desert Storm, we shall look forward to your support of our efforts on behalf of those Gulf War Veterans afflicted with Gulf War Illness.

We wish you success in your campaign and look forward to your service as a member of the United States House of Representatives.  We shall seek your co-sponsorship on behalf of veterans and members of our armed forces, on future legislation supported by the Coalition

                                                                                                    Respectfully,

John J. Maj. Gen (U.S. Army Retired) James Mukoyama

It is a privilege and honor for me to present Allen B. West, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired), United States Army, to you for consideration of your support in his candidacy for the United States House of Representatives in the November 2008 general election.

Allen retired from the Army in 2004 after 20 years of service, which included overseas tours in Korea, Desert Storm I and his last tour as a battalion commander in Tikrit, Iraq.  Upon his retirement, he taught high school history and American government in Florida for a year and then served as a trainer for the Afghanistan army for over two years.  Upon his return in November of last year, he decided to run as a Republican candidate for the U.S. Congressional seat in his district in the Fort Lauderdale area against a one-term Democratic incumbent.

After reviewing his website and literally pages of entries on the internet regarding his military and political background, I spoke with him at length on his various positions on the key issues facing our nation today.  I came away from my research and personal interviews totally convinced that he is the exact type of person our nation needs in the highest levels of our government.

Allen came highly recommended by a mutual friend and I have decided likewise to support him both financially and through my personal network of family, friends, and professional colleagues.

His positions are clearly articulated on his website at www.allenwestforcongress.com.  I would also recommend two nine minute videos on www.youtube.com --- one entitled “Allen West speaking with Broward Republicans” and another entitled “Allen West speaking with Supporters and Volunteers”, so you can view him firsthand.

Lieutenant Colonel (RET) West is a man of faith, courage, and integrity and is on a mission to bring our nation back to its constitutional roots.   He is facing a Democrat with very deep pockets and Allen is basically running a grassroots campaign with little support from the Republican state and national committees at this time and, therefore, any type of support ---financially, referrals, and prayers --- that he can receive from you would be deeply appreciated.

I am most grateful for any consideration that you could give to helping him and I am certainly available to answer any questions that you might have.

Very respectfully yours,

Jim Mukoyama

Lt. Col. Allen West is a man of great integrity, courage and honor and I fully support and endorse his campaign for Congress. The character traits noted above are in perilously slim supply in our elected representatives these days.

Lt. Col. West sacrificed his career as an Army commanding officer and risked his very freedom to conduct an aggressive interrogation of a terrorist who ultimately revealed information that ultimately saved the lives of some of his men.  he did this without injuring the captured enemy fighter.

i am a former Air Force fighter pilot with two combat tours in Vietnam. I met and still know many combat soldiers from my time there, and I rate Lt. Col. West among the very best of them.

He is exactly the sort of man we need in congress and I hope and pray that his efforts to achieve that goal are successful, not for his sake but for ours.

If my grandson is ever sent to a combat zone I hope he is fortunate enough to have a leader of Lt. Col. West's caliber.

It was in Summer of 2003 that LTC West placed the terror suspect, an Iraqi Police Chief of a neighboring village, over the clearing barrel and fired the two rounds.  I was one of his soldiers...one of the many he saved by risking his career and I can never thank him enough for how much he cared for us.  He is a true hero.

Sir,

My name is Kevin J. McGuire and I left the Army in November 2004.  I
was an O3.  I remember the measures you took in Iraq to ensure the
safety of your soldiers and I remember thinking that you did the right
thing.  I was greatly relieved that those in our country who saw fit
to attempt to crucify you failed.

But to see now that you're running for Congress is icing on the cake.
Some friends and I were talking the other day and one commented that
our leaders in Congress are not leaders at all.  They seem to lack
courage or any sense of morality.  They certainly would not put their
well being and their careers on the line for their subordinates.  It
makes me feel particularly happy that somebody such as you who has put
his well being and career on the line is running.

If I was a resident of Florida I would vote for you.  I wish I could
offer you more than my prayers and good wishes.  Please win.  We need
leaders like you in Congress.

Dear Colonel West,

I was pleased to meet and speak with you at the Memorial Day Parade.

Perhaps you recall I said my grandson has recently been mustered out
of the Army, that he served in Iraq and was wounded there.  He was
given the Purple Heart, and thank God, after many operations, did not
lose his leg. I know serving in the Army, Cavalry Division, helped him
gain not only self discipline and a sense of loyalty to his comrades,
but a perspective on the opportunities for his life in the future.

I have read your blog and the excellent testimonials from your own men
and others. Here is one from a grandma.

I am impressed with your biography, your patriotism and your
leadership skills. I feel we need a fine role model for our young men
and women, one which helps them to focus their lives on making the
best of themselves as possible, concern for others, and love of country.

It looks to me as if you have exemplified that life in your career.
Congratulations and good luck in running for Congress.

Capt. Nigel Booker

“My name is Captain Nigel Booker, I am a British Army Officer and a seasoned veteran on the war on terror having served in Kosovo , Bosnia , Sierra Leone , Iraq and Afghanistan .

I had the honour and privilege of serving alongside Colonel West in Afghanistan in 2006. This man is truly a motivational role model who inspires confidence and oozes capability with his personable nature, robust can-do attitude and sheer command presence. Whilst serving in the treacherous Helmand ‘Desert of Death’ I would have constant liaisons and communications with Colonel West as we worked tirelessly to help the Afghans implement a safe and secure environment in which to plant the seeds of development and prosperity for their future generations to nurture and grow. Magnanimous, courteous and courageous his moral values, strong family values and absolute integrity bore him great rewards and I was honoured to bask in our collective achievements. If only there were more commanders like Colonel West. I was very privileged to serve with him and deeply honoured to call him my friend. “

Dear Al,
Normally, I don't make any public or political endorsements as I believe in what Winston Churchill said in that retired Generals and Admirals should take off the uniforms, hang them in the closet, keep their mouths shut and enjoy retirement.
I have lived by that principle but in your case I will make an exception as I believe so much in you and your ability to cipher through all the chaff and come up with the right solutions.  As you remember when you were in Afghanistan and I was reading your ideas in the many emails we exchanged I told you then that you should run for office.  I had no idea what political party you were affiliated and it didn't matter as you were so statesman like, professional and well versed in your solutions to the problems in Afghanistan and on the GWOT.  What you said was needed to take place proved to be just what is happening now in both Iraq and Afghanistan.  This will help us to win the GWOT as we have no other option.
I am a registered Independent so my endorsement for you is not endorsing a political party but just your candidacy...Semper Fi,  Lancer

Al,  I saw your name and a link to your website on the Vets for Freedom website.  I just wanted to tell you that I've always thought you were a great American, a great soldier, and a great leader.  I enjoyed watching you work while at II MEF; you really set a high standard as the lone soldier among the Marines in the Force Fires shop.  You have my unbridled support, so let me know if I can help in any way.  By the way, I saw Johnny Mac's endorsement.  With that, you're sure to win!

Detective Sergeant Major Marc Kahlberg (Ret)
Dear Col. West, I have been following your campaign from Israel. This is after hearing many fantastic things about you and your distinguished career from a very close and good friend of mine in South Florida.

It is obvious to me that, not your words but your actions have proven your true leadership abilities to the people that you have served. There are few in the world today who really have these special leadership capabilities.

The UnitedStates is a Nation that the world's nations have always looked to for support and the United States has always been there to support them. It is in these trying times for the United States that there should be real leaders, like yourself, who really know how to lead.

As I, and many of my fellow Israeli countrymen believe, it will only be leaders of great character and integrity who know how to lead from the front and see and feel the "real story on the ground", as it really is.

You certainly fit this role.

The United States has always been a shining beacon of democracy and hope for people all over the world.

I have been actively involved in policing in Israel for many years and have responded to and been present at far too many acts of terror by those who wish to obliterate my country and its democracy.

On the whole, Israelis seem to have always looked to America as a "Big Brother" and always as our partner in peace. As such, we all pay close attention to the politics in the US and many of us have been keeping a keen eye on what you have been saying and doing.

I truly believe that you have a full and substantial message that generates hope within my country. Your message comes across as one of sincerity and discipline, something that others vying for the role you wish to play simply do not seem to have.

Sir, I can tell you that as an Israeli, with vast and recent experience on the front lines against the war on terror, you have my support and I personally believe the support of many of my countrymen.

I wish you all the very best for you campaign. Should you plan to visit Israel, I would be honored to meet with you.

With very best regards, Marc Kahlberg (Ret) Netanya Israel

Vets for Freedom

VFFPAC Honors all Veterans this July 4th

Dear Vets for Freedom PAC members:

As we all prepare to celebrate the 232nd birthday of this great nation, we as veterans have a duty and solemn responsibility to honor all of those who have worn or are currently wearing the uniform of the United States of America. Among the millions who share this common bond, 31 Presidents have had the honor and privilege of serving in our Armed Forces.

Today, as sacred guardians of our constitution, we are shocked that United States Senators and trusted loyal advisors to presidential candidates think that being a veteran and fighting for America is NOT a qualification to be President.

If service to one's country in armed combat is not a qualification to be Commander in Chief, what is?

For several months now we have observed the irresponsible judgment of some of Senator Obama's most trusted and loyal advisors as they have unfairly attacked the notion that a veteran is not qualified to serve as President.

Here are several examples of this poor judgment by Obama's supporters and advisors:

"I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be President."
General Wesley Clark, Obama Advisor and Surrogate, June 29, 2008.

"Everything is looked at from his life experiences, from always having been in the military, and I think that can be pretty dangerous...it's one thing to have been drafted and served, but another thing when you come from generations of military people and that's just how you're steeped, how you've learned, how you've grown up."
Senator Tom Harkin, May 16, 2008.

"... I think that the notion that the members of the Senate who were in the ground forces or who were ashore in Vietnam have a very different view of Vietnam and the cost that you described than John McCain does because he was in isolation essentially for many of those year...So I think ... to some extent his national security experience in that regard is sadly limited..."
Rand Beers, Obama Foreign Policy Advisor, June 30, 2008.

"McCain should calm down"..."on using military service..." - Senator Jim Webb, Obama Supporter, July 1, 2008.

Vets for Freedom's 'Super Tuesday'

Yesterday, Vets for Freedom rolled out the endorsements of 5 more candidates running for the United States Congress, most who have worn the uniform, all who strongly believe in the mission of our organization, as well as our nation's efforts in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Global War on Terror.

Our candidates include extraordinary Americans - patriots such as Tom Manion, who spent 20 years in the United States Marine Corps and who gave his son in service to our country. I encourage you to watch his VIDEO made in honor of his son Travis, who lost his life in Iraq in 2007. Below are all of our candidates - help us support them by visiting their websites.

Tom Manion (PA-08) is a former Colonel in the Marine Corps, successful business executive, and Gold Star Parent whose son was killed in Iraq.

Steve Stivers (OH-15) is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard who was awarded the Bronze Star for actions in OIF.

Jeff Beatty (Senate-MA) is a former member of Delta Force, to FBI Hostage Rescue Team, to CIA's Counter-Terrorism Center.

Mike Rocque (NY-20) is a former officer in the Green Berets and Delta Force.

Allen West (FL-22) is a former LTC who served with distinction in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom, earning a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one with Valor), and a Valorous Unit Award.

Lee Zeldin (NY-1) served in Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division and continues to serve as a Captain in the Army Reserves.

Duane Sand (ND-At Large) is a Commander in the Navy who served in Iraq, and aboard 3 nuclear submarines throughout the 1990's.

Kent Greenough (TN-04) is a former Marine whose family emulates service to ones country.

Tom Rooney (FL-16) served as an Army JAG for four years before teaching Constitutional and Criminal Law at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Duncan Hunter (CA-52) signed up to serve our country the day after September 11th, and served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan with the United States Marine Corps. He remains in the Marine Reserves.

John Cornyn (Senate-TX) is a first-term Texas Senator who is active in the Senate Armed Services Committee and a strong supporter of veterans and active duty military.

Dean Andal (CA-11) is a strong supporter of the military and veterans, and is a member of the Employer Support Council for the US National Guard.

Mark Ellmore (VA-08) is a Red Star parent whose son is currently deployed overseas in the Air Force.

All of these men have either worn the uniform or understand what is at stake in the Global War on Terrorism, and will fight for victory if elected to Congress. Please visit our website for more information.

Vets for Freedom PAC, or VFFPAC is a Political Action Committee whose mission is to help candidates-mostly combat veterans-who believe in achieving success in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the overall War on Terrorism, get elected to the United States Congress and other Federal positions. Established by combat veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan on November 11, 2007, Veterans Day, VFFPAC will endorse and offer extended support through financial contributions and media assistance to federal candidates who support victory in the Global War on Terrorism. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paid for and authorized by Vets for Freedom PAC 1200 Eton Court, NW, Suite 300 | Washington, DC 20007 If you no longer wish to receive e-mail from us, please click here.

Anne Patterson
Let me tell you about Allen West. My name is Anne Patterson, I am 69 years old, and I followed the shameless way he was treated. Allen is honest, caring, God fearing, and HE LOVES AMERICA. He wants to make this country safe for our children. I am not educated enough yet to tell you about his other goals, but I know Allen, so they have to be for the best of our American Country. God Bless you Allen and God bless American. I corresponded with Allen the time he was being held on those ridiculous charges. I would have pulled the trigger. Anne Patterson P.S. For those narrow minded people who wonder, I am a white woman. His color is only skin deep. He is a red blooded American just like me.

USMC MGySgt, Retired John McIntire
I am a retired Marine MGySgt from Camp Lejeune. I was listening to the radio in my car one day and to my surprise, I heard Allen West being interviewed. That is when I found out that he was running for Republican US Congressman for Florida. So when I arrive back at my office, I did a Google search and found the internet site for Mr. West. www.allenwestforcongress.com It was my proud pleasure to serve with LTC West. He was a great soldier and leader of men. There was not a day that Mr. West was not in a razor sharp uniform. I watched him train Marine officers in there battle skills. The generals he supported sought his advice in fire support matters. His leadership and skills were well known throughout all Camp Lejeune Marine units. Day to day, Marines sought his advice on their lives and I thought he was exceptionally savvy on financial matters. There is a statement he made that always sticks in my mind, that he "would carry a gallon of gasoline to hell to save his soldiers!" If he is not a caring dedicated individual, you find me one!!!!!

Maj. Keith Rowsey
Sir - this is MAJ Keith Rowsey and we served together in 2ID at Camp Casey in the DISCOM. Currently at Fort Riley going through MTT training and ran into COL Williams one of your buddies and he mentioned you were running for Congress and about the website. I am thrilled you are running and very proud to have served with you - you are the best. Wish you and your family the best and I pray you are elected. Thank you for your service - Rowsey

Bill Bernstein, Manalapan
I have been closely following Allen's campaign and have been fortunate enough to meet him several times to speak face to face and I like very much what I see. As a congressman he would be a welcome change from the high tax entitlement folks representing us today. He also understands that we unfortunately live in a difficult world and that we must remain strong militarily to protect us and our allies globally.

Former Sergeant, USA Kevin Burns
Just want to let you know, sir, I support you fully. I only regret that I can't vote for you as I'm in Paul Broun's district(Evans, Ga. near Ft. Gordon). I followed your case for the duration and if it were up to me, I'd have decorated you from hip to neck. There is nothing more honorable than putting your entire career on the line for the safety and security of your men. I angers me deeply how politics can play out in war and accusations can be made from Ft. Living Room. John Murtha did the same thing for political gain. As the owner of USMILNET.COM, I will make your name aware to people as we did one of our own members, Green Beret Frank Antenori, SFC-Ret. when he ran for office in Arizona. You will always have the support of the US Military. Respectfully, Kevin Burns

Mark Krell
Dear Mr. West - After researching the available information on Congressional Candidate Allen West, and your stand on the issues, I am please to announce your inclusion on our Conservative Congressional Candidates page. Your credentials are impeccable. We encourage all of our scribers to support Allen West for Congress through financial contributions, letters to the editors, and telephoning voters. For any members living within Candidate West's Congressional District we ask our members to offer volunteer services to promote Allen West for Congress. LTC Retired Douglas McNeese
Message: Please post on Al's testimonial page. I served side-by-side LTC Al West for two years including combat in Iraq. As a fellow Commander, we became close friends. I have never met a more dedicated individual, who really cares about the people under him. He has proven himself time after time and he has never faultered. As far as I am concerned, Allen West is a true American Hero. I would not hesitate to work with him, or for him. Allen is truthful, honest, dedicated, and sincere. I would put my life on the line for him, because he has done it for me on several occasions. Allen West is exactly what we need in Congress today. Our current politicians, in my view are out of touch, and do not understand the world we live in. Lets bring in a fresh look. Allen is not only one of my heroes, he is someone I want leading this country down the path of victory and prosperity. Go get 'em my friend.

Ryan Smith
Lt. Col. West, You probably don't remember me, but I was in 2/20FA (one of the 13M "lightfighters from Bravo Battery" specifically) with you in Iraq in 2003. I just wanted to tell you that I remember your kindness to me, specifically the fact that you always took time to ask me by name how I was doing and how my day was going, and that was something that most officers wouldn't do for a young enlisted soldier. I never had the opportunity to thank you for what you did to save the lives of my buddies and myself over there, but I think about it often. You went the extra mile to make sure that I would come home alive, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I'm a real estate agent now (still in Temple, TX). I've been out of the Army now for about a year and a half, but I remember how you led, and remember what you did for me and I just wanted to say thank you.

Michael Montas
Lt. Col. West, My name is Spc. Michael Montas, I served under you in Iraq at the al-Taji airbase. As a member of the "Ruffnecks" (2nd Platoon Bravo 1/44 ADA) I went out on many missions and patrols in that very area. I was a driver for a Bradley Linebacker and my Track Commander was Sfc. Charles Ilaoa. I was a member of the Bravo Battery 1/44 ADA Regiment that went on the mission to detain the Iraqi persons responsible for the plotted attacks. I have wanted to tell you for the longest time that I was proud to serve with you sir. You made a statement during your trials when asked if you would do it again, to which you said "If it's about the lives of my men and their safety, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can." Well sir if you would have to go through hell with a gas can I would drive for you. It has been an honor to serve with you sir and I wish you and your family the best. As you can tell from the email address and information below I am no longer in the military but I will continue to support the troops however I can. I would also like to say if you would every need anything I would be happy to oblige. THANK YOU, Michael Montas

SSG Melton, Jake
I am not sure if you remember me, Sir, but I served under you for a while in Taji, I was you M2 gunner for a few months before you were relieved. I was an impressionable PFC at the time. Your leadership was inspiring and I will never forget having worked for you. You are the only Commander I know of that puts all others before himself. If this is any indication of what type of Congessman you will be, Florida is lucky to have you. This will be a far better country with you helping to run it. If I can help out your campain in any way please let me know. I am not sure what I could do from here, but I would be willing to do it. I would follow you into hell to fight Satan himself. Good luck to you Sir and God bless you and your family. Oh, I saw Delgado about 2 years ago and he and his family are doing fine. Deep Strike! Sincerely, SSG Melton, Jake

God bless all This is Farhad Kamran "Noorzad" from Kandahar Afghanistan, one of Mr. Allen's Interpreter at 205th Regional Hero Corps Kandahar Airfield. I have worked for 12 years at different organizations with different people and nationalities and employers or chiefs, but let me say this from the depth of my heart West Is The Best, he is really the best. Mr. Allen B. West is a kind leader, a loyal and honest friend and a true and pure American, his selfless service to Afghanistan and Afghan nation will never be forgotten. I had the honor to serve under his kind supervision for a year, honestly that was the first and best time I enjoyed working, he always took care of us as his team members and never made an environment where we feel that he is an American and we are Afghans. unfortuantely I left Kandahar on September 06 for Kabul MPRI HQs but the only things I always missed were Kandahar, my parents and Mr. Allen West. There are hundreds of Interpreters and US Mentors working for the US Armed Forces everybody comes and goes and nobody talks about who he worked with? or where is he now? but before Mr. West leaves Kabul for the US he came to Camp Eggers at Kabul and waited for almost 10 to 15 minutes till I came back from a meeting over at the Ministry of Defense, I was surprised and I asked myself what is my value that Mr. West waited for me?. I do not have words to explain and talk about his kind personality he will be always in my heart and there is a saying, "Distance does not count a friend is always with you in your heart". This world is a stage and the human beings are just actors there roles always change the characters always change but the only thing that remains in this world is a good name and memories or a bad name and its memories, as I said he was and is a model leader an example of being a leader. Dear and honorable Mr. West wherever you are, you were my chief and friend, you are still and you will be forever. WITH ALL MY RESPECTS AND REGARDS WISH YOU ALL THE BEST Sincerely Yours, Farhad

Canadian Lieutenant-Colonel Keith Moody
Message: I am a Canadian Lieutenant-Colonel who served alongside Allen West in Afghanistan in 2007 as we strove to develop the Afghan Police and Army so that they might properly protect their nation. I am very pleased to have met Allen and am proud to add my name to the growing list of people who recognize his outstanding character and qualities. Allen is cool-headed and affable in all situations. He is a man who brings together diverse cultures, builds relationships among people, creates teams and team-loyalty and is clearly a man who leads others to collective greatness. Allen is inspirational: he is a highly educated man of character with a global perspective. Allen respects other peoples' positions and opinions and is knowledgable and sensitive enough to discuss and debate with them while ensuring everyone feels respected and heard. Allen is wise enough to know that other people have important contributions to make and includes them in his deliberations. While Allen has a global perspective, he clearly realizes that the world is made of individuals and local communities - their dynamics are what makes the world go round. This is why I think Allen is possibly the best leader I have personally met and why I wish to recommend him so strongly. If you don't know Allen yet, you will do yourself and your community a real injustice if you don't take the time to find out more about Allen, what he stands for, and what he will bring as a US Congressman. Good Luck Allen! Keith A. Moody Ottawa, Canada

THE BARBARA HOWARD REPORT © WAR HERO ALLEN WEST FOR CONGRESS

February 27, 2008

Retired Army Lt. Col. Allen West, Republican, is campaigning for Florida 's 22nd U.S. Congressional District, held by E. Clay Shaw for 26 years. Shaw was defeated in the 2006 mid-term elections by the well-funded Democrat Ron Klein.

A career patriot, West recently returned from Afghanistan where he worked as an advisor to the Afghan army. Married with two beautiful and talented daughters, Allen is a military and intelligence expert who has also spent time in the South Florida classroom.

Col. West holds BS and MS degrees in political science and a Masters of Military Arts and Sciences in political theory and military history and operations from the US Army Command and General Staff Officer College.

His awards are numerous, including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one for Valor as a Captain in Desert Shield/Storm) and a Valorous Unit Award.

Allen and I corresponded when he was in Afghanistan and I asked for some background information as I was writing an article about Iraq . His knowledge and explanations literally blew me away.

As I watch Hillary and Obama beat each other up over who is more qualified, I look at Allen West who is probably more qualified than most people, including the two of them when it comes to foreign affairs and intelligence, the very things we need to keep our country safe.

Democrats forget, 9/11 was real and not a conspiracy of George W. Bush as depicted by Michael Moore in Fahrenheit 9/11. And while they distrust all things Republican or as Moore calls it the "Bush Administration America", Allen West, a real hero and a patriot - and yes, a black Republican was putting his life on the line for his country.

Now Allen West wants to bring all that knowledge, experience, wisdom and loyalty to Congress and I intend to help him do it. I'm tired of great pretenders, pontificators and prevaricators.

It's time for a real man. And it's time for intelligent people to start voting for qualified people instead of giving blind loyalty to political parties.

ALLEN WEST IS THE BEST FOR THE REST OF US!!

1/23/08 Ordinarily, we do not endorse candidates. We're NON-PARTISAN as a rule. But we feel it is... important that Lt. Col. West be elected to Congress.

Feb 12, 2008 Mr West; I heard your interview on the Hugh Hewitt Show. It was great. You sound like you'll make a fine congressman. But more importantly, I remember your interview years ago on Bill Oreilly. I was very moved by your story. People like yourself make me feel proud to be an American... and as a fellow African American, even prouder. May God bless you and keep you....

Abdullah
Jan 7, 2008

I am Abdullah 22 from Kandahar Afghanistan; I was Mr. Allen West translator for two years here in Kandahar Afghanistan.
I remember a time, not long ago that I was standing in the class room next to the podium translating the subjects of the Military systems for more then 40 Afghan Army officers, audiences, while Mr. Allen West was teaching, the officer€™s rules-responsibilities & operational materials in the key piece of land where it is a decisive peak for the Taliban approach or is a day to day confront spot for the Multi- National Allies and the enemies of the Afghans and today's world harmony. I believe that Mr. Allen€™s Tactical Tasks is ever the useful tools for the Afghanistan National Army and his compatriots; Mr.Al is an example to everyone of what a true professional officer leader should be! I believe that Mr. Allen West protected more lives of the Afghan soldiers who are running on the ground along with coalition forces.

As an Afghan I know that it is not painless to fight against these anonymous and strange enemies of the innocent people. I commit to memory that Mr. Allen West has suffered at great risk in southern Afghanistan; he survived form many rocket attacks during night time while he was in a deep sleep stroked closed to his living barrack in Kandahar Air Field. But the next morning he uses to stand in courageous character in front of all officers to show them how to deny such actions of the enemy.

Mr.Al left Kandahar for his Home with a great progress and superb accomplishment to the growth of the Afghanistan National Army and his assigned teams. As I was on the stage and translating the words of the 205th ANA Corps Commander on the last day of Mr. Allen€™s mission here in Afghanistan, the Commander told to Mr.Al, that you are the Hero of the Afghan National Army Corps and you made an excellent history for the Afghan nations, your memories of excellent leadership and mentorship will stay with us while you leave Afghanistan, In fact, that was a life-size show and after Mr. Allen€™s departure from Kandahar deserts I immediately take notice of hearing form the Afghanistan National Army high ranking officers, asking about Mr. All€™s effectiveness to the Corp€™s training status and mentorship, most of the officers here extremely willing to time regret.

It is clear that Mr. Allen West has Courage to live each day with Integrity and has commitment to care about each member of the family and the struggles they face. He has conducted and planned too much good constructive missions against the tricky enemies of the Afghan Peoples. As I see Mr. Allen West is an invincible leader, he has fought the war against terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, he is exactly the leader I would vote for, but unfortunately I am not the US citizen to have that privilege. He already went from beginning to end of terrorism family tree and realize what to do with.

Mr. Allen West spent his past two years with (Military Professional Resources Incorporation as a regional director) Kandahar Afghanistan it is the starting place of Taliban and other strange terrorists crossing form neighboring countries like Pakistan, Iran and as so. It is an infiltration rout for the enemy and has the closest border with extremists who are killing/slaughtering innocent people like a goat by one and other reasons. Mr.Al. has planed successful combat operation missions. He can always look back with pride at the great progress made by the 205th ANA corps and we will never forget that he was the only reason for their successes.

If you judge Mr.Al's career against others, willing to get the position of his state congress chair than Mr. Allen West has a prosperous past and current line of business. In no doubt Mr. Allen can take care of his Florida populace as he use to while he was in uniform playing the role of an excellent Commander for his soldier.
To my knowledge he has the ability to protect his State borders, education, economy, and political competition with an adapted approach, because a hero thinks of others before they think of themselves that is what Mr.Al, is doing right now as a good and real leader fighting for his flag for his country for the better future lives of his people.
Since I know that he has already done this for the Afghanistan people in our won country, wouldn't be much easy for him to put his experience in place and protect his homeland's constitutional rights. Dear brothers Lets select and support good leaders due to peace pervade every political terrain.

Soldiers fights for you, heroes die for you.

Jan 3, 2008 LTC West, I was one of the chaplains in Kirkuk with whom you spoke and worshipped in your time there in 03-04. I hold you in very high regard! I was very interested as I read of your campaign for Congress in the Army Times. You are in my prayers! May God bless you and your efforts to serve Him and our nation.

Dec 13, 2007 Dear Col. West, Upon seeing you on FOX News earlier this week, I was immediately drawn to your message and your campaign. This country needs your caliber of leadership desparately. Your forthwright, honest, and candid observations about this country are sadly lacking in Congress. My small donation is a token on my esteem and admiration for your (and our) task at hand. I, too, am a former Army officer. Having served proudly in Viet Nam. Hearing that you were tried for interrogating a prisoner has saddened and appalled me. This country owes you a huge debt of gratitude. Those responsible should be tried for treason. Best wishes and good luck with the campaign. Godspeed to victory! Haddon

Dec 12, 2007 Colonel, During my service, I never saw combat and I am in awe of and admire those of you who put yourselves in harms way for my safety. Thank you for your honorable service and may God bless your endeavor that you may be a great representative for those of us whose voices are never heard.

Dec 12, 2007 As a former U.S. Marine and Gulf War Veteran, I have to say that I am very impressed with your ideas. I only wish you were one of the candidates for President in 2008. Hurry up and win in Florida and let's get you in the White House ASAP.

Nov. 11, 2007 I am a John F. Kennedy Democrat. Today, this makes me a Republican. Yesterday I spoke on WRKO radio when Allen called in from Florida. I think I embarrased him by comparing him to John Wayne, Chesty Puller (Marine hero, )and General George Patton of Massachusetts. I had read of his horrible treatment in Iraq but never heard him speak. Now, it is my intention to support him for Congress. If you could have heard the peoplecalling in on WRKO we could skip Congress and go right to the Presidency of the United States. I am an average person but have designated myself as Chairman of the Massachsetts Commitee to Elect Allen West to Congress. Members of my family will also be supporting Allen. I will be sending a contribution soon. Please advise me what else I can do. Thank you.

Processed on Nov 8, 2007 Col. West. I met you last night -- provided the P A system. Sir, I know this may seem reaching, but I was so impressed with you that if you are successful in your bid for congress (and I think you will be) -- you are a distinguished, intelligent and if I can borrow from Joe Biden -- articulate and clean -- I honestly believe that you could become the first black president. I know it's a long road from where you are now, but I was so impressed, I believe it could happen. I'm sure your campaign manager probably feels the same way. It would take a long conversation to explain why, but if we do get that chance to chat, I know I can make you believe I'm sincere and that higher office for you is a very real possibility. I am honored to have met you and will be further honored to help your campaign.
