On my way back from Washington last week I was reading the newspaper and like many times before, I was struck by just how desperate President Obama and Washington liberals are to change the subject from issues like the economy, gas prices, home foreclosures and the skyrocketing cost of groceries and everyday households items, to divisive social issues like gay marriage and thoroughly dishonest claims of a war on women. It seems like just about every week the liberals and their media allies try to change the subject while putting the best spin, however unbelievable, on the state of our economy and our nation.

They can try to divide us along racial, ethnic, religious and economic lines, but it does not change the fact that their policies are failing Americans of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, races and incomes.

Take a look at these national economic indicators from Inauguration Day 2009 to April 2012.

The economy continues to struggle along under Obamanomics. Only 115,000 jobs were created in April, the unemployment rate remains above 8 percent, 342,000 people dropped out of the labor force.

This just proves once again that the policies of President Obama and Democrat candidates–higher taxes, reckless spending and oppressive regulations–only hurt the economy.
