West honored to be named “Young Gun” by NRCC

Deerfield Beach, FL – 2/10/2010 – Republican Congressional candidate Allen West (FL-22) was honored today to receive the news that he had been named to the National Republican Congressional Committee’s top status of “Young Gun”. This is the top of three tiers in the NRCC’s Young Guns program to identify candidates who have put together the type of campaigns needed to win in November.

“These candidates have reached the third and final step by establishing a clear path to victory through their ability to build a formidable campaign structure and achieve important goals and benchmarks,” NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions said in his statement.

“I am truly honored,” West said. “We have now shown that our grassroots campaign has the tools in place, not just to beat Ron Klein in November, but to send representation to Washington for the people of the 22nd District. This is a accomplishment that has been achieved by great supporters. Every day I meet people who are standing up and demanding that we take our country back from the Washington crowd.”

West, who has served his country in several combat zones, now seeks to unseat incumbent Ron Klein and continue his service to country in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“With our dedicated supporters we will hold Congressman Klein accountable at the ballot box for his partisan support of the Democrat agenda come November 2nd,” West said.
